Welcome to Longhorn Youth Lacrosse

Longhorn Youth Lacrosse Association (LYLA) is a non-profit organization formed and run by parent volunteers in 2009. LYLA's goal is to develop, promote and administer recreational youth lacrosse programs for boys and girls in grades 1-8 who reside within the Lambert High School district.

LYLA encourages good sportsmanship, stresses the development of lacrosse fundamentals and provides fun and safe programs in which our kids can learn and play the game of lacrosse.

The Casey Powell Experience - Boys Lax Clinic

On November 29-30th 2017 US Lacrosse Hall of Famer Member and lacrosse superstar Casey Powell is coming to Atlanta for The Casey Powell Experience.

Every sport has its “greatest player of all time.” Basketball has Michael Jordan. Hockey has Wayne Gretzky. Golf has Jack Nicklaus.  In American Lacrosse, that player is Casey Powell.

Casey is the most prolific scorer in MLL history with 504 points in 12 seasons.  His pro career follows a stellar college career at Syracuse University, during which he was named a 1st Team All American from 1996 to 1998.  His last two seasons at Syracuse, Casey received the Lt. Raymond Enners Award as the Division I Most Outstanding Player. Casey has also dedicated himself to promoting the sport of lacrosse throughout the United States and the world. In 2014, he started Casey Powell's World Lacrosse Foundation.  Its mission is to unify and support lacrosse enthusiasts, players, coaches, organizers and parents.

LYLA Gives Back

The Longhorn Youth Lacrosse Association would like to invite you and your family to a day of giving back to our community. Please join us in our first annual Community Outreach Program assisting those in need.

This year we will be volunteering at Meals by Grace helping to provide food to children and families that otherwise may not be able to eat. There are many spots available to help and the more the merrier. Click HERE to register.

Some key things to note: When you sign up, please include the names of each person that will be in attendance, this includes all adults and children. This will allow for name tags to be prepared in advance of arrival.

Some of the volunteer stations are for children 10 and over or 13 and over, therefore when you sign up please be sure to include the age with each child registered in the comments section. You will see an example when you click the signup showing this.

We are asking that all players wear their LYLA Lacrosse Pinnie and that any other volunteer wear something preferably for LYLA Lacrosse.
